You Are the Trophy

If you read my last post, you already know how important positive affirmations are. They can rewire your brain and make the outcome you desire more likely.
In sales, this can be more valuable than you think. It can make a world of difference in landing new prospects, as we explain to many sales people we train..
Most agencies approach sales meetings from a position of weakness.

This is a big problem. If you believe you need to do everything in your power to get people to sign up, you will appear desperate.
The client who senses this will immediately gain the upper hand. They can now dictate their terms, which might not be favourable to you. And you might think you have no choice but to work with them anyway.

Have you ever experienced this?
Most salespeople have.
But it doesn’t have to be like this.

You only have to understand that you’re the trophy. Put affirmations to use towards this end.
Try these, to begin with. Repeat the following sentences out loud:

“Every client believes that I’m the trophy.”
“They want me to help them with their needs.”
“Every client wants me on some level. The question is, do I want them?”

How does it feel when you say this? Do you really believe it to be true?

It’s true even if you didn’t see it that way before. That negative belief is why you haven’t been able to unlock all your power.

Repeat these affirmations often and you’ll see. You’ll start believing that it’s the clients who should chase after you, and not the other way around.

If you approach every sales meeting from this perspective, the clients will clamour after you.
