Why is learning to profile people such an important skill for salespeople?
Recently, I trained the team at Symbio during their sales kick-start event on two key topics:
The Psychology in Selling
The Psychology of Personal Performance and Goal Attainment
In the session on the Psychology in Selling, we explored why people sometimes make decisions quickly, even without all the necessary information to make a fully rational choice.
The session provided insights into motivation, helping participants discover whether they’re the type of person who needs pain and stress to take action, or if they perform better in low-stress environments.
We also discussed the difference between perceptions of reality and actual reality, including a straightforward equation that helps identify where the client truly stands.
Additionally, we covered Sensory Biases, a key element that helps people make sense of information without needing to analyse every detail.
It’s a fascinating area of communication, and one everyone should learn. The benefits are substantial in relationships, teaching, and especially in sales.
