Training the team at Adrian Williams—one critical lesson.

Most people think reading body language is about identifying a few gestures and slapping a label on them. It’s not.

In fact, the first step in reading body language is learning to shut down the internal chatter in your own head and focus on one thing—your client.

You need to observe every response, every shift in their tone, and understand what those subtle changes are really telling you.

Gestures are like paragraphs; they come in sequences. Just like words, a single gesture can have different meanings depending on context.

That’s why you NEVER focus on one gesture alone. It’s about noticing the pattern of signals. When you know what to look for, understanding people becomes easy—even predictable.

For example, I trained the team on how to spot signs of agreement or resistance during conversations. And guess what?

Each person had a unique way of showing the same emotion! There’s no one-size-fits-all here; you have to understand your client’s specific signals.

At the end of the day, it’s about connection. The better you read your client, the better you can guide them—and the more likely they are to say yes.
