Do Behaviour Goals Fuel Motivation & Discipline?

Why behavioural goals are so crucial to sustain motivation and discipline.

So when you're going after your goals, you need to reward yourself for the effort, otherwise every NO or lost deal is going to play havoc with your mindset.

You’ll experience what I typically call the emotional roller coaster.
Having played tennis to a high level and coached the one thing learned very early on, is if I wanted to build my player up, it wasn’t going to be done by berating him, but by looking at all the positives.

Every tennis player goes in to win a match, the outcome, but there can only be one winner.

So, what you focus on is Process and Performance Goals. By doing this it enhances and teaches the player to think and evolve their game, mentally and strategically.

Same in sales, if the salesperson can start to separate the outcome, the process and the performance goals, this leads to focus, resilience and a determined mindset.

So, do you know your Process Goals?

These processes once taught can generate excitement within the person and often they can overachieve without needing constant support, vs other salespeople who need continual support as their mindset changes faster than the weather.
